Morning Whispers

Image may be NSFW.
Clik here to view.

The washer whirls and the dryer hums,

Moving in quiet competition.

The kitchen lights are turned down low,

While the morning sky holds tints of winter blue.

In the living room, swaddled girls are held.

Sleepy breaths stir the air,

And morning whispers float around.

Toasted bread and creamy coffee,

One more serving, please?

The words of the LORD rest on my lap,

Morning whispers float.

Legos tinker downward from the floor above,

And the youngest boy holds his nap.

Tell me, What does your morning whisper?

xx, Maggie
